The Bharat Scouts & Guides(BS&G) of South Western Railway is bestowed of conducting a mega 5-day prestigious event of 02nd All Indian Railway Adventure & TrekkingCamporee at State Trekking& Training Centre, Castle Rock in Karnataka State from 23rd to 27th May, 2013.
Shri Rahul Jain, District President, BS&G & Divisional Railway Manager, Hubli Division will be the Chief Guest and inaugurate All India Railway Adventure & TrekkingCamporee at Castle Rock at 6-00 p.m (evening) on 23rd May, 2013 by lighting the lampand the same will be followed by Music Orchestra by employees of Hubli Workshop at 7-00 p.m.Shri Shyamadhar Ram, State Chief Commissioner, BS&G and Chief Workshop Manager, Carriage Repair Workshop, Hubli will preside over the function, while Shri Prem Narayan, District Commissioner(Scouts) & Senior Divisional Engineer(Co-ordination), Hubli Division of SWR,will grace the occasion as Guest of Honour.
In the above event, around 500 Rovers & Rangers representing from all the Zonal Railways of Indian Railways, viz., Central, Eastern, Northern, North Eastern, Northeast Frontier, Southern, South Central, South Eastern, Western, East Central, East Coast, North Central, North Western, South East Central, West Central Railways and host South Western Railway are participating in thisMegaAll India prestigious event.
During this event, adventure activities like Rappelling, River crossing, Burma Bridge, Rope Climbing, Ladder climbing Alphone net, Tarzan swing, Balancing pole & parallel rope, Wall climbing, Rock climbing, Dudhsagar activities, Zip line at Dudhsagar, Horse riding, Mountain biking, Archery, Target shooting, Zip line at Training Centre, Tyre Climbing will be organised. Adventure activities will be heldin the 01st session from 08-00 hrs. to 12-00 hrs. andin the 02nd session from 13-00 hrs. to 17-00 hrs., from 24th to 26th May, 2013.
On the Valedictory function to be held on 26th May, 2013, Shri ASHOK KUMAR MITAL, Patron, BS&G and General Manager, SWR & Smt. RASHMI MITAL, Vice Patron/BS&G and President/SWR Women’s Welfare Organization(SWRWWO) will be Chief Guests and inaugurate the programme by lighting the lamp at 6-00 p.m.(Evening).Shri Shyamadhar Ram, State Chief Commissioner, BS&G and Chief Workshop Manager, Carriage Repair Workshop, Hubliwill preside over the function.Shri S.S. Narayanan, State President/BS&G and Principal Chief Engineer, SWR and ShriH. Harikrishnan, Vice President, BS&G and Chief Personnel Officer, SWR will be present as Guests of Honour.
