Dr. Chinta Mohan, Hon’ble Member of Parliament flagged off Train No. 12761 Tirupati-Karimnagar Superfast Express Train at a grand function held at Tirupati railway station today ie., 29thMay 2013. Shri Bhoomana Karunakar Reddi, Hon’ble MLA, Shri Y. Srinivasulu Reddy, Hon’ble MLC and Shri T.P. Singh, Divisional Railway Manager, Guntakal Division were among the dignitaries present on the occasion. Public in large number attended the inaugural function.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Chinta Mohan thanked the Railways for introducing the Tirupati-Karimnagar Weekly Express. He said that this train would provide a faster and convenienttravel between South and North Andhra Pradesh. This train would provemuchbeneficial to the people ofKarimnagar,Warangal and otherstations enroute to visit Tirupati on pilgrimage and business purposes.
While welcoming the gathering, Shri T.P. Singh, Divisional Railway Manager, Guntakal informed that developing the south side entry to Tirupati Railway Station with all amenities is on the anvil and he requested the TTD officials to spare the requested land near the railway station at the earliest. The amenities at Tirupati railway station was modernized withtheopening ofEscalators, he added.
Train Schedule:
On its regular run, Train No. 12761 Tirupati-Karimnagar Weekly Superfast Express will depart Tirupati every Wednesday from 5th June 2013 at 22 40 hrs and arrive Karimnagar at 11 15 hrs on the next day.In the return direction, Train No. 12762 Karimnagar-Tirupati Weekly Superfast Express will depart Karimnagar every Thursday from 6th June, 2013 at 19 15 hrs and arrive Tirupati at 08 05 hrs on the next day
