Due to Public Agitation demanding stoppage of trains at Delanga Station in Khurda Road-Puri Railway Section, train services have been cancelled, short terminated & controlled enroute. Train services were normalised in this section at 1335hrs. The agitation started at 0650hrs in the morning.
Things took an ugly turn in the day when at about 1130hrs, it was reported that some miscreants set a coach of train number 18416/18414 Puri-Barbil/Paradeep Express on fire. one coach of the said train was completely gutted. No casualities in terms of death or injury took place. All train passengers were safe.
The miscreant act of setting a train coach on fire and vandalising the Station premises at Delang Railway Station is strongly condemned. East Coast Railway will press for strong deterrent action against the miscreants.
