Fourteen Suvidha Weekly Special Trains between Kamakhya-Bangalore Cantonment via Vijayawada

Accordingly, Train No. 02510 Kamakhya – Bangalore Cantonment Suvidha Weekly Special trains will depart Kamakhya at 20:10 hrs o­n 13th, 20th, 27thOctober, 3rd, 10th, 17th and 24thNovember, 2015 (Tuesdays) arrive/depart Vijayawada at 07:50/08:00 hrs o­n (Thursdays) and arrive Bangalore Cantoment at 21:15 hrs o­n the following Thursdays.
In the opposite direction, Train No. 02509 Bangalore Cantonment - Kamakhya Suvidha Weekly Special trains will depart Bangalore Cantonment at 10:15 hrs o­n 16th, 23rd, 30th October, 6th, 13th, 20thand 27th November, 2015 (Fridays) arrive/depart Vijayawada at 23:45/23:55 hrs o­n the same day and arrive Kamakhya at 21:15 hrs o­n the following Sundays.
Enroute these special trains will stop at New Bongaigaon, New Jalpaiguri, Kishanganj, Malda Town, Rampurhat, Howrah, Kharagpur, Bhubaneswar, Khurda Road, Vizianagaram, Vijayawada, Chennai Central and Katpadi stations in both the directions.
These special trains will have 17 coaches viz, two AC II Tier, four AC III Tier, nine Sleeper Class and two Luggage cum Brake Van Coaches.

Cancellation /Patial Cancellation / Regulation of Certain Trains due to Traffic Block on Secunderabad-Mudkhed Section

South Central Railway will impose a Traffic Block for launching of RCC Boxes for Limited Height Subways (LHS) in lieu of few Unmanned Level Crossings  on Secunderabad – Mudkhed Section of Hyderabad Division o­n 4th , 11th and 16th October, 2015.  As a result, the following trains will be cancelled / partially cancelled / rescheduled / regulated as detailed below:-

I)Cancellation / Partially Cancellaltion / Regulaltion of Trains o­n 4th October, 2015 (Sunday):

1)Train No.57502 Bodhan-Mirzapalli Passenger will be partially cancelled between Nizamabad-Mirzapalli.
2)Tr. No. 57503 Mirzapalli-Bodhan Passenger will be partially cancelled between Mirzapalli and Nizamabad.
3)Tr. No.57561 Kacheguda-Manmad, scheduled to depart Kacheguda at 4:50 hrs, will be regulated for 2 hrs and 50 minutes between Kacheguda and Sirnapalli stations.
4)Tr. No.57594 Nanded-Mudkhed Passenger will be regulated for 2 hrs 30 mts between Mudkhed and Indalvai stations.

Provision of Stoppages for 6 Pairs of Duronto Express Trains from 1st January 2016 Onwards

In order to enable passenger convenience, Railway Board has provided stoppages to six pairs of Duronto Express trains originating / passing through South Central Railway. These stoppages will come into effect from a from 1stJanuary, 2016 onwards as detailed below.
Originating Trains
1.Train No. 12285/12286 Secunderabad-Hazrat Nizamuddin-Secunderabad Duronto Express is provided with commercial stoppage at Balharshah, Nagpur and Jhansi.
Accordingly, Train No. 12285 Secunderabad-Hazrat Nizamuddin Duronto Express will arrive/depart Balharshah at 18:10/18:15 hrs, Nagpur at 20:55/21:05 hrs and Jhansi at 05:45/05:50 hrs with effect from 3rd January, 2016.
In the return direction Train No. 12286 Hazrat Nizamudding Duronto Express will arrive/depart Jhansi at 20:22/20:27 hrs, Nagpur at 05:10/05/20 hrs and Balharshah at 08:10/08:15 hrs with effect from 4th January, 2016.
2.Train No. 22204/22203 Secunderabad-Visakhapatnam-Secunderabad Duronto Express is provided with commercial stoppage at Vijayawada.
Accordingly, Train No. 22204 Secunderabad-Visakhapatnam Duronto Express will arrive/depart Vijayawada at 01:10/01:25 hrs with effect from 2nd January, 2016.
In the return direction, Train No. 22203 Visakhapatnam-Secunderabad Duronto Express will arrive/depart Vijayawada at 00:40/00:55 hrs with effect from 3rd January, 2016.
3.Train No. 12220/12219 Secunderabad-Mumbai LTT-Secunderabad Duronto Express is provided with commercial stoppage at Pune.
Accordingly, Train No. 12220 Secunderabad- Mumbai LTT Duronto Express will arrive/depart Pune at 07:47/07:57 hrs with effect from 1st January, 2016.
In the return direction, Train No. 12219 Mumbai LTT-Secunderabad Duronto Express will arrive/depart Pune at 02:05/02:15 hrs with effect from 2ndJanuary, 2016.

Passing Through Trains

4.Train No. 12213/12214 Yesvantpur-Delhi Sarai Rohilla-Yesvantpur Duronto Express is provided with commercial stoppage at Guntakal and Secunderabad.
Accordingly, Train No. 12213 Yesvantpur- Delhi Sarai Rohilla Duronto Express will arrive/depart Guntakal at 03:48/03:50 hrs and Secunderabad at 08:55/09:10 hrs with effect from 9th January, 2016.
In the return direction, Train No. 12214 Delhi Sarai Rohilla-Yesvantpur Duronto Express will arrive/depart Secunderabad at 21:15/21:30 hrs and Guntakal at 03:00/03:02 hrs with effect from 4th January, 2016.

5.Train No. 12245/12246 Howrah-Yesvantpur-Howrah Duronto Express is provided with commercial stoppage at Vijayawada and Renigunta.
Accordingly, Train No. 12245 Howrah- Yesvantpur Duronto Express will arrive/depart Vijayawada at 04:30/04:45 hrs and Renigunta at 10:25/10:30 hrs with effect from 10thJanuary, 2016.
In the return direction, Train No. 12246 Yesvantpur-Howrah Duronto Express will arrive/depart Renigunta at 16:50/16:55 hrs and Vijayawada at 22:25/22:35 hrs with effect from 4th January, 2016.
6.Train No. 12269/12270 Chennai-Hazrat Nizamuddin-Chennai Duronto Express is provided with commercial stoppage at Vijayawada.

1. Train No. 07041 Tirupati - Visakhapatnam Special Train will depart Tirupati at 17:00 hrs o­n 24th September, 2015 and arrive Visakhapatnam at 06:50 hrs o­n the next day.
2. Train No. 07042 Visakhapatnam - Tirupati Special Train will depart Visakhapatnam at 16:45 hrs o­n 25th September, 2015 and arrive Tirupati at 06:20 hrs o­n the next day.
3. Train No. 07044 Tirupati - Visakhapatnam Special Train will depart Tirupati at 20:15 hrs o­n 26th September, 2015 and arrive Visakhapatnam at 10:25 hrs o­n the next day.
4. Train No. 07043 Visakhapatnam - Tirupati Special Train will depart Visakhapatnam at 16:45 hrs o­n 27th September, 2015 and arrive Tirupati at 06:20 hrs o­n the next day.

Enroute these special trains will stop at Renigunta, Sri Kalahasti, Gudur, Nellore, o­ngole, Chirala, Tenali, Vijayawada, Eluru, Tadepalligudem, Rajahmundry, Samalkot, Tuni, Anakapalli and Duvvada stations in both the directions.

SCR to run eight MMTS Special Trains on 27th and 28th September 2015 to clear extra rush due to Ganesh Nimarjanam

In order to clear extra rush of passengers during Ganesh Nimarjanam, South Central Railway will run eight special MMTS trains between various destinations in  Hyderabad / Secunderabad in the intervening night of 27th  September and 28th September 2015 i.e., (between 22:00 hrs of 27th September and 04:00 hrs of 28thSeptember, 2015) as per the following schedule:-

    1. Train No. GSH-1 Secunderabad-Hyderabad MMTS Special will depart Secunderabad at 23:30 hrs o­n 27th September, 2015and arrive Hyderabad at 00:05 hrs of 28th September, 2015.

ACHIEVEMENTS / PERFORMANCE HIGHLIGHTS OF SOUTHERN RAILWAY DURING JULY & AUGUST, 2015

Southern Railway is a passenger oriented railway and continuously strives to improve its services and efficiency.The zonal railway takes numerous initiatives to enhance the safety and security of its passengers and to improve cleanliness in railway premises and o­nboard trains.The various developmental activities undertaken by the zone have resulted in increased customer satisfaction and comfortable journey for passengers.Running of special trains and augmentation of trains by extra coaches have helped the passengers a great deal.





The important achievements and performance highlights of Southern Railway during July & August, 2015 are given below.








To help the waitlisted passengers and to cater to the extra rush of traffic, Southern Railway operated 65 special trains in July, 2015 as compared to 33 special trains in July, 2014, marking an improvement of 97%.In August, 2015, 100 special trains were run as compared to 53 special trains in August, 2014, marking an improvement of 88.7%.





402 unreserved special trains were run in July, 2015 as against 62 special trains in July, 2014, marking an increase of 548%.In August, 2015, 412 unreserved special trains were run compared to 74 in August, 2014, an increase of 457%.





Southern Railway temporarily augmented various trains by 468 coaches in July, 2015 as against temporary augmentation by 406 coaches in July, 2014.In August, 2015, various trains were temporarily augmented by 543 coaches as compared to temporary augmentation by 467 coaches in August, 2014.





12 pairs of IRCTC special trains were run in July, 2015 as against 10 pairs in July, 2014.In August, 2015, 12 pairs of IRCTC special trains were run as compared to 10 pairs in August, 2014.





Gauge conversion works between Chengalpattu – Ottivakkam – Karunguzhi (20 km) were completed and Commissioner for Railway Safety inspected the stretch o­n 03.09.2015.With this, the entire doubling works between Chengalpattu – Villupuram (103 km) have been completed.





Gauge conversion works between Pollachi – Palakkad Town (54 km) have been completed and the section is ready for inspection by Commissioner for Railway Safety.As part of gauge conversion works between Pollachi – Palakkad, Electronic Interlocking arrangement has been provided at Palakkad Town.





With regard to interlocking of level crossing gates, 12 level crossing gates have been interlocked upto 31.08.2015.





Station Ticketet Booking Sevak (STBS) facility was commissioned at 5 locations during July taking the overall count of STBS locations to 63.





Yatri Ticket Seva Kendra was commissioned at Erode o­n 22.07.2015.





Jansadharan Ticket Booking Sevak (JTBS) facility was commissioned at 2 locations taking the overall count of JTBS locations in Southern Railway to 143.





Automatic Ticket Vending Machines (ATVM) were commissioned at 30 locations during July & August, 2015.The overall ATVM locations as o­n date counts to 124.
A new Traction Substation has been commissioned at a cost of Rs.15.41 crores at Villupuram as part of the o­ngoing Villupuram – Tiruchchirappalli doubling works.With the commissioning of this Traction Substation, more trains can be taken over o­n electric traction in the section.

One escalator was commissioned o­n 22.08.2015 at Thiruvananthapuram railway station o­n PF no.4/5 at a cost of Rs.90 lakhs.Further, 2 lifts were also commissioned o­n 22.08.2015 at the same station o­n PF no.1 and 2/3 at a cost of Rs.32.5 lakhs each.

109 criminals were arrested for theft of railway property worth Rs.3.32 lakhs in 73 cases registered under RP (UP) Act.

18770 defaulters were apprehended under various provisions of Railways Act and prosecuted.Rs.48.38 lakhs was collected as fine amount from them.

32 criminals involved in passenger related offences were arrested and stolen articles worth Rs.66.65 lakhs were recovered from them.The criminals were handed over to GRP for further legal action.

609 persons were dealt with for littering o­n railway premises under Indian Railways (Penalties for activities affecting cleanliness at railway premises) Rule 2012 and an amount of Rs.1,56,510 was collected as fine from them.

On 17 occasions, RPF seized contraband goods worth Rs.6,00,498 and handed over to the concerned law enforcing agencies along with the offenders for further legal action.

67 run away children were secured by RPF from various railway stations and handed over to their parents / child help line.

Multi Functional Complexes (to provide rail users facilities such as shopping, restaurants, book stalls, budget hotels, underground parking etc.) have been sanctioned at 21 important railway stations (11 in Kerala and 10 in Tamil Nadu).The MFCs at Kannur, Tiruvalla and Kanniyakumari were commissioned during July – August, 2015.The facilities at these MFCs will be of great help to the rail users.

WR TO RUN SPECIAL LOCAL TRAINS FOR GANPATI IMMERSION DURING NIGHT OF 27/28th SEPTEMBER

To facilitate Mumbaikars during Ganpati immersion o­n the night of 27thSeptember, 2015, Western Railway will run four pairs of special train services between Churchgate and Virar o­n the night falling between 27th & 28thSeptember, 2015.
             
In down direction, 1st special train will depart from Churchgate at 01.15 hrs & reach Virar at 02.47 hrs., 2nd Special will depart from Churchgate at 01.55 hrs & reach Virar at 03.30 hrs, 3rd Special will depart from Churchgate at 02.25 hrs & reach Virar at 04.00 hrs and 4th Special will depart from Churchgate at 03.20 hrs & reach Virar at 04.55 hrs.

In Up direction, 1st special will depart from Virar at 00.15 hrs & reach at Churchgate 01.45 hrs, 2nd Special will depart from Virar at 00.45 hrs & reach Churchgate at 02.17 hrs, 3rd Special will depart from Virar at 01.40 hrs & reach Churchgate at 03.12 hrs and 4th Special will depart from Virar at 02.55 hrs & reach Churchgate at 04.30 hrs.

The special trains will halt at all stations.
