One cannot imagine and digest the bitter fact of the life that some of the children, at a tender and innocent age, are unfortunately suffering from the deadly disease of Cancer. Cancer is totally curable, if detected at an early stage, with timely and proper medical treatment.
A train journey always delights little children, particularly if it is on the beautiful picturesque route of Konkan Railway. Hence, as a humble gesture towards sprinkling a little joy into their life, Konkan Railway is providing a complimentary AC 3-tier journey to and fro Goa for the fifth consecutive year for about 64 Cancer Affected Children, who are undergoing treatment at Tata Memorial Centre.
Apart from this, Konkan Railway will also be extending on-board hospitality by providing them catering services, etc. to these children in the train to make their journey memorable. The team will leave from CSTM Station on 25th November 2011 by 10111 Konkankanya Exp. and will be returning from Madgaon by 10112 Up Konkankanya Exp. on 28thNovember 2011. While in Goa, they will be taken to the renowned tourist spots including various beautiful beaches, to enlighten their lives and cheer them up.
With this small gesture, Konkan Railway prays for an early and speedy recovery of these Little Angels.
