Central Railway to augment 7,000 seats/berths to clear holiday rush

The Central Railway (CR) will attach additional coaches to following Express trains to clear the extra rush of passengers during the upcoming Christmas holidays.The official sources here today said this will enable additional accommodation of 6,480 sleeper class berths, 184 AC-2 Tier berths and 600 AC chair car seats in the existing trains during this period.12133/12134 Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus-Manglore Express will be augmented by two sleeper class with immediate effect up to December 30.11003/11004 Dadar (T)-Sawantwadi Rajarani Express will be augmented by two sleeper class from Thursday to Monday.12051/12052 Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus-Madgaon Janshatabdi Express will be augmented by two second seating coaches with immediate effect up to December 31.12223/12224 Lokmanya Tilak Terminus-Ernakulam Duranto Express will be augmented by one AC-2 Tier coach on December 24 and 27 (from LTT) and on December 25 and 28 (from Ernakulam).12025/12026 Pune-Secunderabad Shatabdi Express will be augmented by one AC Chair Car from December 23 to December 26, the sources added.
