Southern Railway has opened a special counter on Srirangam Sri Renganathaswamy Temple premises in view of the Vaikunda Ekadesi festival to facilitate booking of reserved and unreserved tickets.
Timings
The counter will function up to January 7. The Passenger Reservation System (PRS) will work from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m, and from 2 p.m to 6 p.m from Monday to Saturday.On Sunday, the PRS counter will function from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.The unreserved ticketing system will issue tickets from Srirangam and from all such cluster locations to any station to enable pilgrims purchase unreserved tickets even three days in advance, where the journey distance involves 200 km and above, a Southern Railway press release issued here said.
