SER\'s passenger traffic grows 6.33%

During the first eight months (i.e. April to November) of the current financial year (2011-12) South Eastern Railway (SER) has carried 174.26 million passengers which are 10.38 million more than the corresponding period of the last year thus registering a growth of 6.33%.
Out of total 174.26 million passengers, 81.33 million were suburban and 92.93 million were non-suburban passengers.
Earnings from passenger traffic during April to November of the current financial year have been to the tune of Rs. 739.03 crores as against Rs. 644.68 crores during the corresponding period of the last year. As a result, earnings from passenger traffic have shown a growth of 14.64%.
The total earnings of S.E.Railway during the same period i.e. April to November, 2011 has been Rs. 6800.18 crores which is 9.44% more as compared to corresponding period of the last year
