South Central Railway holds 26th Pension Adalat

South Central Railway conducted the 26th Pension Adalat today (15th December, 2011) all over its jurisdiction, ie., at Headquarters andall six Divisions.The objective of conducting the Pension Adalatis to examine the grievances of Pensioners and redress the same immediately. Addressing the Pensioners, Shri R. Vijaya Mohan, Additional General Manager, the Chief Guest o­n the occasion, said that South Central Railway would do the needful to look after the welfare of 1,10.000 pensioners of S.C.Railway in recognition of their hard work while they were in service. He further stated that the grievances of the Pensioners would be redressed all through the year and not just during the Adalat. He also released a tri-lingualbooklet titled “ Know Your Retirement Benefits” o­n the occasion.Shri Manoj Pande, Chief Personnel Officer,in his address, said that in all 721 representations have been received in response to a notification o­n Pension Adalat issued in leading Newspapers in August, 2011. Out of these, 538 have been cleared and the balance are under various stages of examination and processing. In all, an amount Rs. 29.596 Lakh has been disbursed during the Adalat held at Secunderabad, Vijayawada, Guntur, Guntakal and Nanded. Smt A.Rajyalaxmi Venkateswar, Financial Advisor & Chief Accounts Officer, said that all efforts are made to ensure that Pensions reache the retired employees in time. Dr. S. K. Sharma, Chief Medical Director, gave tips to the Pensioners o­n maintaining their health. Shri Y. N. Sastry, President, All India Retired Railwaymens Federation and Shri M.L.Gupta, President, Retired Railway Officers Association alsospokeontheoccasion and applauded the efforts of Railway administration for their best efforts to ensure the welfare of Pensioners.
 Pension Adalat Held in Hyderabad Division: The 26thPension Adalat was conducted o­n Hyderabad Division today. A total of 49 representations were received, out of which 19 pertain to Nanded Division while the remaining 30 have been examined and replied. Shri Margoob Hussain, Divisional Railway Manager, Hyderabad Division, who was the Chief Guest, appreciated the efforts of the Personnel and Accounts Departments in prompt and speedy disposal of grievances. Representatives of Pensioners’ Associations also participated.
