South Central Railway will organize special checks during the ensuing Christmas and Sankranti Festival Season from 18th December, 2011 till 17thJanuary, 2012.The special checks will emphasize on the following aspects:
Raids will be conducted on the premises of authorized and unauthorized travel agents with the help of local police / RPF in order to check / seize / prevent blocking of reservations under fictitious names and subsequent sale of transferred tickets.
A close watch will be kept on Travel agencies and on the aspect of connivance of railway employees with Reservation Clerks in jumping the queue and taking tickets from behind the counters.
Curbing the blocking of accommodation by towel spreading in unreserved coaches by anti-social elements and regulating the queue at un-reserved coaches on selected trains through the presence of commercial staff in addition to RPF/GRP.
Detection of fake/forged tickets and resale/reuse of used/unsold tickets.
Misuse of various quotas specially emergency quota, road side quota, tatkal quota, and quota kept for amenities staff in important trains.
Surveillance would be kept on activities of touts by monitoring the same through CCTV monitoring rooms and RPF deployed for the purpose.
Special Trains and extra coaches will be adequately manned by TTEs, so that responsibility can be fixed in case of any irregularity.
