NEW ADDITIONAL GENERAL MANAGER OF SOUTHERN RAILWAY

Dr. G. Narayanan, joined Indian Railway Service in 1977, has taken over as the new Additional General Manager of Southern Railway today. As Additional General Manager, he is also the Director of Public Grievances, Southern Railway and Appellate Authority for Public Information under Right to Information Act.He has worked in Southern Railway in various capacities. He has also worked as the Chief Administrative Officer/Construction and Principal Chief Engineer of South Eastern Railway. Prior to his appointment as the Additional General Manager, he was the Principal Chief Engineer of Southern Railway.Dr. G. Narayanan has worked abroad with the Sri Lankan Railways and Malaysian Railways. He was deputed as UNDP Fellow to German Railways. He has obtained a Doctorate in Structural Engineering from IIT/Madras and is a practising Doctor under the Indian Board of Alternative Medicines.
