Trains to Kerala via the Konkan were delayed by hours on Wednesday.
While Train No. 16345 Netravati Express from Lokmanya Tilak Terminus (Kurla) to Thiruvananthapuram was delayed by eight hours, Train No. 12619 Lokmanya Tilak Terminus-Mangalore ‘Matsyagandha' Express was delayed by nine hours, Railway sources in Mangalore said.
Train No. 16348 Mangalore-Thiruvanathapuram Express, which leaves Mangalore at 2.30 p.m., was delayed by over two hours. The sources here said the reason for delay could be either due to routine track maintenance work or owing to some technical snag on the line, which comes under the Mumbai division.
