East Coast Railway Women’s Welfare Organisation celebrated International Women’s Day today at Rail Kunj, Bhubaneswar. Achievement, dedication and commitment of women in different spheres of life were discussed and selected band of dedicated women were honoured.
Smt. Ratna Ghosh, President, East Coast Railway Womens’ Welfare Organisation said on the occasion that, women should be respected in the society to help and solve problems like eve teasing and women torture etc. She said, dedicating one day for the women is not enough. She described various role of a woman i.e. mother, sister, wife including today’s important role played by the women which have resulted in building of a better and healthy society.
To mark this occasion, Smt. Ghosh felicitated 31 women railway employees of ECoR for their outstanding contribution and their dedicated service to the Railways. Members of ECoRWWO were present on this occasion
