Train to Bandra gladdens Hisar residents

The introduction of a new train, the Vivek Express, running between Bandra and Jammu via Hisar has gladdened the hearts of the city residents.On its first run between Jammu and Bandra (Mumbai), the train was welcomed at the local railway station on Monday evening by a large number of people.A local charitable organisation even got food packets prepared for its passengers, which were distributed free of cost. The organisation had ordered 100 packets containing poories and chhole, and there were 250 passengers in the train.The train will leave Jammu Tawi every Monday at 9.30 am and reach Bandra Terminus at 10.35pm every Tuesday.It leaves Bandra Terminus at 12.05pm every Saturday and reach Jammu Tawi at 1.15 am o­n Monday. The train covers a distance of 1882 km.This is the first direct train link between Hisar and Mumbai.
