Shri Joachim Baxla, Chairman, Passenger Services Committee, Ministry of Railways,New Delhi, visited Secunderabad and Necklace Road Railway Stations and inspected the passenger Amenitiesprovided atthese stations. Shri M. Sundar Ram, Chief Commercial Manager, SC Railway,Shri Sanjeeve Roy, Divisional Railway Manager, Secunderabad Division and other senior officials were with him at the time of inspection.
At Secunderabad Station, Shri Joachim Baxla inspected Platform No. 1 and 10. Shri Sundar Ram briefed him onprovision and maintenance of Passenger Amenities and other amenities planned to be provided such as lifts and escalators. Shri Joachimpersonally checked the working of Current Day Reservation Counter, Display of CurrentTrain Status,workingofAutomatic Ticket VendingMachines (ATVM), Passenger Operated Enquiry Terminals (POET), Train fare Display Boards, Cafeterias, Waiting Halls, Water taps, cleanliness of the station etc.He also interacted with the passengers to know their views onthe amenities at the station and expressed his happiness over the amenities provided and upkeep of the station.After inspecting Necklace Road Station, hefound that the passenger amenities at the station are satisfactory.
Later, Mr. Joachimmet ShriG.N. Asthana, General Manager, South Central Railway at Rail Nilayam, and discussedon the provision of passengeramenitieson South Central Railway.
