Hyderabad Division of SCR holds DRUCC meet

Hyderabad Division of South Central Railway conducted 49th Divisional Railway Users Consultative Committee (DRUCC) Meeting today ( 26th April, 2012 ) at Hyderabad Bhavan, Secunderabad under the Chairman ship of Divisional Railway Manager Shri Margoob Hussain. Secretary of DRUCC and Divisional Commercial Manager Sri R.G.Kanakraj, Additional Divisional Railway Manager and other branch Officersof Hyderabad Division werepresent.14 members of the newly constituted DRUCC participated in the meeting.The Chairman in his welcome address highlighted the performance of the division for the year 2011-12, improvements of passenger services i.e., opening of new halt stations, opening of a new private siding, installation of Passenger Operated Enquiry Terminals (POET), opening of Passenger ReservationCenters (PRS)at Post Offices, Passenger Reservation System cum Unreserved Ticketing System fare display and Jansadharan Ticket Booking Sevak (JTB) contracts. The DRUCC members were apprised of the improvements to Goods sheds, introduction of new train services,special trains run over Hyderabad Division and Extension of trains etc.The members expressed their satisfaction and appreciation over the improvements made at stations and also for the introduction of additional trains. The members represented for introduction of new trains, increasing frequency of the existing popular trains, provision of additional PRS counters, improvement to station building circulating area, enhancing security of passengers by trains, provision of stoppages to trains, provision of safe drinking water at all stations, improvement to amenities provided to Physically challenged persons etc. The members of the new DRUCC elected Sri Gautam Jain to represent Hyderabad Division at theZonal Railway Users’ Consultative Committee (ZRUCC).
