As announced in last Railway Budget for running of a weekly super fast Garib Rath Express between Puri & Yesvantpur (Bengaluru), East Coast Railway has introduced a new train from 20th July 2012.
On the inaugural run, Shri Maheswar Mohanty, Hon’ble Minister for Panchayati Raj, Govt. of Odisha flagged off of Puri-Yesvantpur-Puri Garib Rath Express at Puri Railway station on 20th July 2012.
22883 Puri-Yesvantpurweekly Garib Rath Express will leave Puri at 14.45hrs on every Friday w.e.f. 20th July 2012 and will arrive at Yesvantpur at 20.00hrs on the next days. In the return direction, 22884 Yesvantpur-Puri weekly Garib Rath Express will leave Yesvantpurat 22.40hrs on every Saturday w.e.f. 21st July 2012 and will arrive at Puri at 05.55hrs on every Monday.
Railways have announced for introduction of Puri-Chennai-Puri weekly super fast express from Puri Station which has been scheduled to leave Puri from 22nd July 2012 from Puri Station on this occasion.
22859 Puri-Chennai Central weekly Superfast Express will leave Puri at 17.30hrs on every Sunday w.e.f. 22nd July 2012 and will arrive at Chennai at 14.55hrs on the next days. In the return direction, 22860 Chennai Central-Puri weekly Superfast Express will leave Chennai Central at 16.15hrs on every Monday w.e.f. 23rd July 2012 and will arrive at Puri at 15.05hrs on the following days.
