SCR takes special measures to clear smoothly the passenger rush towards North Eastern states


There is a marked spurt in the number of passengers bound towards destinations in the North Eastern states from Secunderabad in recent days. SCR responded to thepassenger rush in this sector and has taken special steps to ensure smooth clearance of passengers as detailed below:
1)Extra coaches are being attached to trains going towards Kolkata and Guwahati.2 additional General coacheswere attached to Tr.no.18646 Hyderabad-Howrah Eastcoast express today(18th). 2 extraGeneral coaches will be attached to this train o­n Sunday(19th)also. 4 extra General coaches will be attached by Tr.no.12513 Secunderabad-Guwahati weekly Express o­n Sunday(19th)
2)Apart from the above, Passsengers can utilize the special trains being operated between Bangalore-Guwahati ,which pass through SCR with stoppage at Vijayawada , which is well connected from twin cities. So far, 6 special trains have been run o­n this route.
3)Focus is given to handle the passenger rush in a smooth manner for the busy trains at Secunderabad Station. Towards this, Officers and Supervisors from Commercial and SecurityBranches are put o­n special duty during the timings of heavy rush, especially duringthe time of East Coast Express, Faluknama Express and Guwahati Express. The special duty staff are taking necessary steps in managing the Queues at ticket countersand to enable the passengersin boarding the general coaches of these trains without any hitch
4)To enable quick clearance of Queues , 3 additional general ticket counters are being operated at Secunderabad station during the timings of the above trains.
5)Frequent announcements are being made o­n Public announcement system about the Services for necessary guidance of the passengers
6)The staff concerned have been put o­n alert and special care is beingtaken to ensure requisite cleaningat the Station, especially in the waiting halls in view of passenger rush.
7)The trains, where heavy rush is witnessedviz. Faluknama , Eastcoast and Guwahati Exp. arebeing escorted by security personnel from RPF and also by extra commercial staff(TTEs) to ensureproper crowd management o­nboard these trains.
