South Central Railway conducted a surprise check on 21st August 2012 at Secunderabad Railway Station against Ticketless / irregular Travel and un-booked luggage with a view to ensure hassle free travel to bona-fide passengers. Intensive checks were carried out by Ticket Checking Staff with the help of Railway Protection Force personnel under the direct supervision of Divisional Commercial Manager, Secunderabad Division.
The surprise checking covered all Platforms of Secunderabad Railway Station during the timings of arrival / departure of Trains. As a result, a total number of 218 cases of ticketless travel and 48 cases of un-booked luggage were detected. A penalty of Rs. 1,00,393/- was realized from them.
