As announced in last Railway Budget for running of a weekly super fast Express between Visakhapatnam & Lokmanya Tilak Terminus (LTT) via Vizianagaram-Rayagada-Titlagarh & Raipur, East Coast Railway has introduced a new train from 15th July 2012.
On the inaugural run, Dr. (Smt.) D. Purandeswari, Hon’ble Minister of State for Human Resource Development, Govt. of India flagged off of Visakhapatnam-LTT-Visakhapatnam Express at Visakhapatnam Railway station on 15th July 2012 in presence of Dr. T. Subbarami Reddy, Hon’ble Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha), Shri Dronamraju Srinivasa Rao, Govt. Whip, Andhra Pradesh & Hon’ble MLA, Visakhapatnam South; Shri Ramakrishna Babu Velagapudi, Hon’ble MLA, Visakhapatnam East; Shri Vijaya Kumar Thynala, Hon’ble MLA, Visakhapatnam North; Shri Vijaya Prasad Malla, Hon’ble MLA, Visakhapatnam West; Shri Chinthalapudi Venkataramaiah, Hon’ble MLA, Gajuwaka; and Shri Panchakarla Ramesh Babu, Hon’ble MLA, Pendurthi.
22847 Visakhapatnam-LTT weekly Superfast Express will leave Visakhapatnam at 08.30hrson every Sunday w.e.f. 15thJuly 2012 and will arrive at LTTat 13.35hrs on the next days. In the return direction, 22848 LTT-Visakhapatnam weekly Superfast Express will leave LTT at 00.15hrs on every Tuesday (mid night of Monday) w.e.f. 17th July 2012 and will arrive at Visakhapatnam at 05.30hrs on the following days.
