Train No. 51426 Miraj-Parli Vaijnath Passenger derailed between Ghatnandur and Parli Vaijnath stations on Latur Road-Parli Vaijnath branch line section of Secunderabad Division on South Central Railway at about 08 10 hrs today (23rdSeptember 2012), affecting train movement on the section.
As per preliminary information, five coaches and the engine went off the track in the incident. There were no casualties and injuries to passengers in the incident. Accident Relief Trains from Purna and Secunderabad as well as Medical Relief Van from Purna have been rushed to the spot immediately on receipt of information.
The Divisional Railway Manager, Secunderabad Division accompanied by other Senior Officials rushed to the spot by the relief train to undertake relief and restoration measures.
