IDENTITY PROOF FOR TRAIN PASSENGERS

e-Ticket
Hard copy of e-ticket + one of the nine prescribed ID proofs in original/Screen shot of e-ticket displayed through laptop/palmtop + one of the nine prescribed ID proofs in original/Ticket detailssent to the m-ticket holder on mobile phone + one of the nine prescribed ID proofs in original.For tatkale-ticket:Ticket + ID proof on which the ticket was booked, in original.
2.
i-Ticket (All upper classes)
Hard copy of i-ticket + one of the nine prescribed ID proofs in original.
3.
Tatkal ticket (including tatkal e-ticket)
Ticket + ID proof on which the ticket was booked in original.
4.
PRS ticket (All upper classes)
Ticket + one of the nine prescribed ID proofs in original.


The nine prescribed proofs of identity in respect of the above tickets are as follows:

1.PAN card issued by Income-tax department.
2.Driving license issued by RTO.
3.Photo ID card having serial number issued by the State/Central Government.
4.Credit card issued by banks with laminated photograph.
5.Voters ID card issued by the election commission.
6.Nationalised bank pass book with photograph.
7.Passport.
8.Students ID cards with photograph issued by recognised school/college.
9.Unique identification card ‘Aadhaar’.

Passengers failing to produce the original ID will be treated as ticketless passengers and charged accordingly.Xerox copies will not be accepted.
