In view to avoid rush in regular trains like Bhubaneswar-Pondicherry-Bhubaneswar Express, Bhubaneswar-Rameswaram-Bhubaneswar Express, Bhubaneswar-Secunderabad-Bhubaneswar Visakha Express, Puri- Lokmanya Tilak Terminus (LTT)-Puri Express and Visakhapatnam-Nanded-Visakhapatnam Express, East Coast Railway has decided to augment additional coaches in these trains on permanent basis by creating 424 additional berths on a regular measure for the benefit of the commuters with immediate effect.
12898/12897 Bhubaneswar-Pondicherry-Bhubaneswar Expresswill be augmented with One Sleeper Class Coach w.e.f. 2ndOctober 2012 from Bhubaneswar and w.e.f. 3rdOctober 2012 from Pondicherry. on permanent augmentation, this train will run with 21 coaches, i.e. 11 Sleeper Class, One AC-2 tier, Two AC-3 tiers, Four General Second Class Coaches, Two Guard cum Luggage Vans and One Pantry Car in its composition.
18496/18495 Bhubaneswar-Rameswaram-Bhubaneswar Expresswill be augmented with One Sleeper Class Coach w.e.f. 5th October 2012 from Bhubaneswar and w.e.f. 7th October 2012 from Rameswaram. on permanent augmentation, this train will run with 21 coaches, i.e. 11 Sleeper Class, One AC-2 tier, Two AC-3 tiers, Four General Second Class Coaches, Two Guard cum Luggage Vans and One Pantry Car in its composition.
17015/17016 Bhubaneswar-Secunderabad-Bhubaneswar Visakha Express will be augmented with One Sleeper Class Coach & One AC-3 tier w.e.f. 1st October 2012 from Secunderabad and w.e.f. 3rd October 2012 from Bhubaneswar. on permanent augmentation, this train will run with 21 coaches, i.e. 14 Sleeper Class, One AC-2 tier, Two AC-3 tiers, Two General Second Class Coaches and Two Guard cum Luggage Vans in its composition.
12746/12745 Puri-LTT-Puri Express will be augmented with One Sleeper Class Coach w.e.f. 2ndOctober 2012 from Puri and w.e.f. 4thOctober 2012 from LTT. on permanent augmentation, this train will run with 21 coaches, i.e. 09 Sleeper Class, One AC-2 tier, Two AC-3 tiers, Six General Second Class Coaches, Two Guard cum Luggage Vans and One Pantry Car in its composition.
18509/18510 Visakhapatnam-Nanded-Visakhapatnam Expresswill be augmented with One Sleeper Class Coach w.e.f. 3rd October 2012 from Visakhapatnam and w.e.f. 4th October 2012 from Nanded. on permanent augmentation, this train will run with 20 coaches, i.e. 10 Sleeper Class, One AC-2 tier, One AC-3 tier, Five General Second Class Coaches, Two Guard cum Luggage Vans and One Pantry Car in its composition.
Similarly, 22811/22812/22823/22824 Bhubaneswar-New Delhi-Bhubaneswar Rajdhani Express will be augmented with One AC-3 tier Coach w.e.f. 3rd October 2012 from Bhubaneswar and w.e.f. 4th October 2012 from New Delhi for a period of three months i.e. from 1st October to 31st December 2012. on augmentation, this train will run with 14 coaches, i.e. One AC First Class, Two AC-2 tier, EightAC-3 tiers, Two Power Generator cum Guard Vans and One Pantry Car in its composition during this period. As a result, East Coast Railway has created 5760 additional berths in Rajdhani Express only during the above period.
