REPLACEMENT OF COACHES
The four second class sleeper coaches now running in the Chennai Egmore – Madurai – Chennai Egmore portion of T. No.16127/16128 Chennai Egmore – Guruvayur – Chennai Egmore express trains will be replaced by four second class chair car (reserved) coaches. This will provide increased accommodation in Chennai Egmore – Madurai sector.
This change will come into effect on 28.3.2013 ex. Chennai Egmore and on 29.3.2013 ex. Madurai.
INTRODUCTION OF WEEKLY SUPERFAST EXPRESS TRAINS BETWEEN
VISAKHAPATNAM - CHENNAI CENTRAL
A new weekly superfast express train service will be introduced between Visakhapatnam - Chennai Central on 15.12.2012 ex. Visakhapatnam at 17.45 hrs. and on 16.12.2012 ex. Chennai Central at 21.10 hrs. T. No.02869, the inaugural special from Visakhapatnam to Chennai Central to be flagged off on 15.12.2012, will run to open timings. T. No.02870, the Chennai Central - Visakhapatnam superfast special on 16.12.2012, will run to the timings of T. No. 22870.
T. No.22869 Visakhapatnam – Chennai Central weekly superfast express will leave Visakhapatnam at 19.20 hrs. on Mondays and arrive Chennai Central at 08.55 hrs. on Tuesdays. T. No.22870 Chennai Central – Visakhapatnam weekly superfast express will leave Chennai Central at 21.10 hrs. on Tuesdays and arrive Visakhapatnam at 10.25 hrs. on Wednesdays. The composition of the trains will be 1 AC 2-tier, 2 AC 3-tier, 7 Sleeper Class, 4 General Second Class and 2 luggage-cum-brake van coaches. The trains will stop at Duvvada, Anakapalle, Narasingapalli, Tuni, Samalkot, Rajahmundry, Eluru, Vijayawada, ongole, Nellore and Gudur.
The regular service of T. No.22869 Visakhapatnam – Chennai Central weekly superfast express will commence on 17.12.2012, Monday and that of T. No.22870 Chennai Central – Visakhapatnam weekly superfast express on 18.12.2012, Tuesday.
Advance reservation for the above trains will commence on 12.12.2012.
