To clear extra rush of passengers during the Summer season-2013, Northern Railway has planned to run 1498 trips of special trains on different routes. The Summer special trains as planned are as follows:
1.The 04051/ 04052 between Anand Vihar Terminal – Jammu Tawi (Tri- Weekly) Express Summer Special from 02.04.13 to 30.06.13 (78 trips).
2.The 04031/04032 between Delhi Jn. –Ambala Cantt. (Daily) Express Summer Special will run from 01.04.13 to 30.06.13 (182 trips).
3.The 04009/04010 between Delhi Sarai Rohilla – Bhatinda (Daily) Express Summer Special has been running from 01.04.13 to 01.07.13 (182 trips).
4.The 04204/04203 between New Delhi-Lucknow (Daily) Express Summer Special train will run from 06.04.2013 to 30.06.2013 (76 trips).
5.The 04201 Varanasi-Delhi Jn.(Daily) Express Summer Special will run from 04.04.13 to to 30.06.13 (76 trips).
6.The 0401204011 between Hazrat Nizamuddin- Sainagar Shirdi (weekly) Express Summer Special train will run from 04.04.2013 to to 01.06.13 (18 trips).
7.The 04314/04313 between Bareilly- Darbhanga (weekly) express Summer Special train will run from 03.04.2013 to to 27.06.2013 (26 trips).
8.The 02208/02207 between Jammu Tawi- Ahmedabad (weekly) A.C. Express Summer Special train will run from 04.04.13 to 28.06.13 (26 trips).
9. The 04602/04601 between Amritsar- Barauni (unreserved weekly) Express Summer Special train will run from 07.04.2013 to 01.07.13 (26 trips).
10.The 04022/04021 between Delhi Jn.- Patna(bi-weekly) Express Summer
Special train has been running from 31.3.2013 to 01.07.2013 (54 trips).
11. The 01027/01028 between Mumbai CST- Varanasi (weekly) Express Summer Special train will run from 03.04.13 to 27.06.13 (26 trips).
12. The 01051/01052 between Lokmanya Tilak T.- Gorakhpur (Weekly) Unreserved SummerSpecial train will run from 07.04.13 to 25.06.13 (24 trips).
13.The 01055/01056 between Lokmanya Tilak T.- Varanasi (Weekly)
Unreserved Summer Special train will run from 04.04.13 to 28.06.13 (26 trips).
14.The 01057/01058 between Lokmanya Tilak T.- Muzaffarpur (Weekly) Summer Special train will run from 03.04.13 to 28.06.13 (26 trips).
15.The 03125/03126 between Kolkata- Anand Vihar (Weekly) Superfast (via Dankuni) Summer Special train will run from 13.04.13 to 30.06.13 (24 trips).
16.The 03129/03130 between Kolkata- Haridwar (Weekly) Superfast (via Dankuni) Summer Special train will run from 17.04.13 to 28.06.13 (22 trips).
17.The 05023/05024 between Gorakhpur- Pune (Weekly) Summer Special train will run from 04.04.13 to 29.06.13 (26 trips).
18. The 05031/05032 between Gorakhpur- Lokmanya Tilak T. (Weekly) Summer Special train will run from 06.04.13 to 01.07.13 (26 trips).
19. The 01019/01020 between Mumbai CST- Lucknow (weekly) Express Summer Special train will run from 07.04.13 to 24.06.13 (24 trips).
20. The 01047/01048 between Mumbai CST- Gorakhpur (weekly) Express Summer Special train will run from 05.04.13 to 30.06.13 (26 trips).
21. The 01049/01050 between Lokmanya Tilak T.- Darbhanga (Weekly) Summer Special train will run from Lokmanya Tilak T. on 09.04.13, 23.04.13, 07.05.13, 21.05.13, 04.06.13 & 18.06.13 & from Darbhanga on 11.04.13, 25.04.13, 09.05.13, 23.05.13, 06.06.13 & 20.06.13 (12 trips).
22. The 05620/05619 between Kamakhya-New Delhi Superfast (Weekly) Summer Special train will run from 04.04.13 to 28.06.13 (26 trips).
23. The 05903/05904 between Dibrugarh- Chandigarh (weekly) Express Summer Special train will run from 05.04.13 to 30.06.13 (26 trips).
The 02281/02282 between Bhubaneshwar-New Delhi Superfast Duronto (Weekly) Summer Special train will run from 03.04.13 to 27.06.13 (26 trips).
25.The 09021/09022 between Bandra T.- Jammu Tawi (Weekly) Superfast Express Summer Special Train has been running from 01.04.2013 to 26.06.2013 (26 trips) on every Wednesday.
26.The 09407/09408 between Ahmedabad- Lucknow Jn. (Weekly) Express Summer Special Train has been running from 01.04.2013 to 26.06.2013 (26 trips).
27.The 05102/05101 between Delhi Jn.-Chhapra Weekly Express Special will run from 08.04.13 to 30.06.13 (26 trips).
28 The 05028/05027 between Anand Vihar Terminal – Gorakhpur Tri- Weekly ExpressSpecial will run from 03.04.13to29.06.13 (78 trips).
29.The 03686/03685 between Delhi Jn.- Gaya Superfast (Weekly)Summer
Special train will run from 05.04.13 to 27.06.13 (26 trips).
30.The 09807/09808 between Kota-Hazrat Nizamuddin Summer Special train has been running from 01.04.13 to 01.07.13 (182 trips).
31.The 09005/09006 between Mumbai Central- New Delhi Bi-Weekly A.C. Superfast Express Summer Special train will run from 03.04.13 to 27.06.13 (50 trips).
Apart from running Summer Special trains, Northern Railway has planned to increase passenger carrying capacity of several regular trains by attaching additional coaches during summer season.
