Shri Kotla Jaya Surya Prakash Reddy, Hon’ble Minister of State for Railways conducted surprise inspections at Central Railway Hospital at Lallaguda, Mechanized Laundry,Catering Base Kitchen at Bhoiguda today (3rd May 2013). He was accompanied by sri D.P.Pande, General Manager, and other higher officials. He held discussions on various developmental works in progress on SCR with the General Manager at Rail Nilayam, Secunderabad.
During his inspection of Central Hospital, Shri Suya Prakash Reddy visited Emergency ward, Intensive coronary care unit, Dialysis unit, Nephrology ward, Neurology ward, Maternity ward and oncology sections. He interacted with the patients and enquired about the medical services rendered and the facilities being provided for them. He reviewed the overall functioning of this major Hospital and discussed on the action to be taken for further improvements. The Minister announced a group cash award of Rs. 50,000/- to the Staff of the Hosptial in recognition of their meritorious services.
Later, Sri Surya Prakash Reddy visited the Mechanised Laundry at Bhoiguda. He inspected the Linen washing, drying, iron pressing and packing activities of the Mechanised Laundry. He stressed the need for supplying hygienic and clean linen to railway passengers. Satisfied with the maintenace and good upkeep of the Mechanised Laundry, Hon’ble Minister announced a group cash award of Rs. 20,000 to the Staff of the unit.
Hon’ble Minister, during his inspection of a Base Kitchen unit located at Bhoiguda, emphasized the need for providing qualitative and hygienic food for the Railway Passengers. He conducted inspection of materials used for preperation of food items and complant redressal mechanism for catering related issues.
