Railway employee trapped by Vigilance Department for Accepting Bribe towards false promise of Providing Jobs


“Railway employee by name K S Aditya working as Trainee Fitter in the office of Senior Section Engineer, Water works, Lallaguda at Secunderabad has been trapped by Railway Vigilance Department while accepting a bribe Rs.20, 000/- from a person by name Sri Linga Swamy by promising employment in Railways”.

Further investigation revealed that the employee has already received Rs. 2 lakhs from Sri Linga Swamy in several installments earlier. While he was demanding a further amount of Rs.50, 000/- this time and accepting Rs.20, 000/-, the employee was trapped by Vigilance Department.

During further proceedings by Vigilance Department it could be elicited that K S Aditya has already taken similar amounts from few more persons promising Railway jobs. Railway Vigilance Department is doing further investigation o­n this matter.

South Central Railway is o­nce again requesting public not to fall prey to any such individuals who promise to get Railway jobs by illegal means and paying bribes. It is to be observed that earlier S C R has given notifications (i.e., o­n 19th Sept, 2012) at the time of major recruitment drives cautioning public not to indulge in illegal methods for securing jobs in Railways.
