NEW STATION BUILDING AT THAKURNAGAR

The new station building of Thakurnagar station o­n Sealdah-Bangaon section of Eastern Railway’s Sealdah Division has recently been dedicated to the service of passengers. The well decorated new Station building at Thakurnagar has been constructed resembling the architect of famous Matua Dham Mandir in the area.

Thakurnagar is an important station in Sealdah division whereHeadquarters of Matua Mahasangha is situated in this area. This station also caters the traders to transport their merchandise to and from the big flower market there.

NEW SHANTINAGAR HALT STATION OPENED IN RANAGHAT-GEDE SECTION

Shantinagar Halt station between Bahirgachhi Halt and Bhayna Halt stations o­n Ranaghat-Gede section of Eastern Railway’s Sealdah Division has been opened with effect from 23 July, 2014, for convenience of the passengers of this locality.

A huge gathering of local people appreciated the efforts of Eastern Railway to reach every remote area over its jurisdiction.

At present, o­ne pair of EMU local will stop at this Halt station. 31913 Up Sealdah-Gede local will stop at Shantinagar Halt at 9:49 hrs., while 31916 Dn Gede-Sealdah local will stop there at 7:40 hrs.
