Measures taken to streamline Tatkal ticket booking

Rangiya division of N.F.Railway has started video recording of the Tatkal booking at PRS-Rangiya w.e.f. 25-08-2014. This is a preventive measure to ensure that, no touts can take advantage of the Tatkal facility by depriving genuine passengers. A surprise check was also conducted by a team of senior Railway Officers led by Addl. Divisional Railway Manager, Rangiya o­n 23rd August, 2014. During checking, all relevant documents required for issuing Tatkal tickets have been checked o­n the passengers who were found standing in queue at the PRS counter. This was to ensure that no Tatkal ticket can be issued to a passenger without proper documents .Such type of drive will continue in other PRS counters also.
