Its really a good news for those rail passengers of Mumbai especially of Western suburban area like Borivali and Vasai , who are planning to celebrate upcoming festive season and new year at one of the favourite tourist destination of the world i.e. Goa, as for the first time ever Western Railway has decided to run ‘Premium’ AC special train from Bandra Terminus to Madgaon between 21st December & 31stDecember, 2014. Total 8 services of this special train are planned for the convenience and comfort of the passengers.
Train No. 09009 Bandra Tr. –Madgaon ‘Premium’ AC Special train will depart Bandra (T) at 23.40 hrs on Sunday and Tuesday reaching Madgaon at 12.55 hrs. the next day. This will run on 21st, 23rd, 28th & 30thDecember ex Bandra (T).
Similarly, Train No. 09010 Madgaon - Bandra Tr. Premium AC Special train will depart Madgaon at 15.30 hrs on Monday and Wednesday arriving Bandra (T) at 04.10 hrs the next day. Accordingly, it is scheduled to run on 22nd, 24th, 29th & 31stDecember, 2014 ex Madgaon.
Enroute this train will halt only at Borivali, Vasai Road, Panvel, Ratnagiri & Sawanwadi stations in both directions. The train will have AC chair car, AC II Tier, AC III Tier and a pantry car.
·The booking of these trains will be available only through Internet. The booking of first two trips of train no. 09009 departing Bandra (T) shall be available from 12th December, 2014 and, for the rest of the trips as per Advance Reservation Period of 15 days(excluding day of journey), only through internet, that is IRCTC’s portal and not through the counters at reservation centers. The passengers are required to carry the prescribed original photo identity card which is used at the time of booking. The fares applicable for each day/transaction shall be indicated at the time of booking on the IRCTC’s e-ticketing website.
·No waitlisted tickets shall be issued. There will be no refund except when the train is fully cancelled on railway account due to unforeseen circumstances or due to severe disturbances affecting operations. Adult fare shall be charged for all passengers irrespective of their age. No concession shall be applicable to this train.
·The advance reservation period will be shorter, that is a maximum of 15 days. The fare is also likely to increase depending on the demand intensity.
