New Bi-Weekly Express Train Between Mysore and Varanasi to be Introduced

As announced in the Railway Budget 2014-2015, a new train i.e., Train No. 16229 / 16230 Mysore – Varanasi Bi-weekly express (via., Guntakal, Gulbarga) will be introduced with effect from 25th December, 2014 Ex. Mysore and from 27thDecember, 2014 Ex. Varanasi. The schedule is as detailed below:-
 Train No.16229 Mysore – Varanasi Bi-weekly Express will depart Mysore at 07:20 am every Tuesday & Thursday and arrive Varanasi at 11:50 am o­n the second day.
 In the return direction, Train No.16230 Varanasi – Mysore Bi-weekly Express will depart Varanasi at 09:05 pm every Thursday & Saturday and arrive Mysore at 03:00 am o­n the third day.
 Enroute, these trains will stop at Mandya, Kenegeri, Bangalore City, Yesvantpur, Tumkur, Arsikere, Kadur, Bellary, Guntakal, Adoni, Manthralayam Road, Raichur, Krishna, Yadgir, Wadi, Gulbarga, Solapur, Daund, Ahmednagar, Kopargaon, Manmad, Bhusaval, Khandwa, Itarsi, Pipariya, Narsinghpur, Jabalpur, Katni, Maihar, Satna, Cheoki and Mirzapur stations in both the directions.

  These trains will consist of 16 Coaches viz., o­ne AC II Tier, o­ne AC III tier, six Sleeper Class, six General Second Class and two General Second Class Luggage cum Brake van Coaches.
