South Central Railway to Conduct Meetings with Hon’ble Members of Parliament on Railway Developmental Activities on the Zone

South Central Railway is going to conduct three exclusive meetings with Hon’ble Members of Parliament – both Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha – representing the area falling under the jurisdiction of SCR. The first meeting will be held at Vijayawada o­n 6th January 2015. Hon’ble MPs from Andhra Pradesh, primarily representing areas falling under Vijayawada, Guntur and Guntakal Divisions of SCR will participate in this meeting. o­n 7th January 2015, another meeting will be held with Hon’ble MPs from Telangana, primarily representing areas under Secunderabad and Hyderabad Divisions of SCR, at Rail Nilayam, Secunderabad. The third and final meeting will be held with Hon’ble MPs from Maharashtra, primarily representing areas under the jurisdiction of Nanded Division of SCR, at Nanded o­n 8th January 2015.

 Shri P.K. Srivastava, General Manager/SCR and Principal Heads of Departments and Divisional Railway Managers concerned will attend these meetings. During the course of these meetings, Shri Srivastava will brief the Hon’ble MPs o­n the performance of SCR o­n various issues such as freight / passenger traffic, earnings, safety/security, cleanliness, passenger amenities, infrastructure development and various initiatives for providing improved service to rail users o­n the Zone. The views and the proposals of Hon’ble MPs o­n railway developmental activities and services in this region will also be discussed in these meetings.
