Shri P.K. Srivastava, General Manager South Central Railway Addresses Press Conference on Railway Budget 2015

GM/SCR seen addressing the Press Conference o­n Rly Budget - 2015

Shri P.K. Srivastava, General Manager, South Central Railway addressed a Press Conference o­n Railway Budget 2015 today i.e. 26th February 2015 at Rail Nilayam, Secunderabad. The Press Conference was attended by several Principal Heads of Departments of the Zone.
  Addressing the media present o­n the occasion, Shri P.K. Srivastava highlighted the fact that South Central Railway has got the highest allocations for o­ngoing projects, as compared to earlier years. He stated that :-
·Towards infrastructure, SCR has been sanctioned an staggering amount of Rs 2768 Crs for the year 2015-16, which is 24% more than the year 2014-15.
·The total outlay earmarked for New Lines, Doubling, Bridges, Road over Bridges, Traffic Facilities and other specified works etc is Rs 984.33 Crs, which is 60% higher as compared to Rs 616 Crs during the FY 2014-15.
·For New Lines, the budgetary grant for 2015-16 is Rs 511.6 Crs., which is 23% more than previous year.
·For Doubling works, the budgetary grant for 2015-16 is Rs 233 Crs., which is 331.56% more than previous year.
·For Bridges, the budgetary grant for 2015-16 is Rs 26.9 Crs., which is 61% more than previous year.
·For Road over Bridges, the budgetary grant is Rs 101.67 Crs, for Traffic Facilities the budgetary grant is Rs 40.68 Crs for the year 2015-16.
In Terms of Budgetary Allocations for important o­ngoing new line projects, the details are as follows:-
vRs 141 Crs for Peddapalli-Karimnagar-Nizamabad project.
vRs 100 Crs for Mellacheruvu-Vishnupuram project.
vRs 130 Crs for Nandyal-Yerraguntla project
(This high allocation will enable in completing the above three projects.)
vRs 20 Crs for Manoharabad-Kothapalli project.
vRs 110 Crs for Nadikudi-Srikalahasti project.
vRs 35 Crs for Gulbarga-Bidar project.
vRs 150 Crs for Vijayawada-Bhimavaram-Nidadavolu doubling and electrification works, has been allotted.

Summary of Sanctioned Projects in SCR in Railway Budget 2015
The new projects sanctioned for SCR in the Railway Budget 2015 include four doubling, three tripling and o­ne new railway line projects to a length of 1197 Kms. The total anticipated cost is Rs 11703 Crs and the budgetary allocation in the railway budget 2015 is Rs 267.59 Crs. The details are as below:-

ØVijayawada-Gudur Tripling of railway line project (293  Kms) at an anticipated cost of    Rs 2423 Crs. The budgetary allocation for the year 2015-16 is Rs 55.4 Crs.
ØDuvvada-Vijayawada Tripling of railway line project (335 Kms) at an anticipated cost of Rs         3350 Crs. The budgetary allocation for the year 2015-16 is Rs 76.6 Crs.
ØKazipet-Balharshah Tripling of railway line project (202 Kms) at an anticipated cost of   Rs 2020 Crs. The budgetary allocation for the year 2015-16 is Rs 46.19 Crs.
ØGooty-Dharmavaram-Banglore Doubling of railway line project (180 Kms) at an anticipated cost of Rs 1800 Crs. The budgetary allocation for the year 2015-16 is Rs 41.16 Crs.
ØSecunderabad-Mahboobnagar Doubling of railway line project (110 Kms) at an anticipated cost of Rs 1200 Crs. The budgetary allocation for the year 2015-16 is Rs 27.44 Crs.
ØRenigunta, Dharmavaram & Wadi Bypass Doubling of railway line project (21 Kms) at an anticipated cost of Rs 300 Crs. The budgetary allocation for the year 2015-16 is Rs 6.86 Crs.
ØVijayawada & Kazipet Bypass new railway line project (15 Kms) at an anticipated cost of Rs       200 Crs. The budgetary allocation for the year 2015-16 is Rs 4.57 Crs.
