Shri Pradeep Kumar Saxena, General Manager, South Western Railway, Hubli has been posted as In-charge General Manager of South Central Railway from 1st July, 2015. He will be taking over charge subsequent to the superannuation of Shri P.K.Srivastava, General Manager, SCR who retired today i.e., 30th June, 2015.
Shri P.K. Saxena belongs to the Indian Railway Service of Engineer (IRSE) of 1977 batch. He completed his Graduation in Civil Engineering from Rewa Engineering College, Madhya Pradesh in 1977 and started his career as Assistant Engineer in Khandwa of Central Railway in the year 1980.
Shri Saxena also worked in various capacities including as Chief Engineer (Construction), Metropolitan Transport Project (MTP), Mumbai and executed various projects in and around Mumbai and Navi Mumbai areas. He held charge of several key posts including as Chief Engineer (Track Machines), Central Railway, Mumbai, Divisional Railway Manager, Pune Division of Central Railway and Chief Administrative Officer(Construction), South East Central Railway and also as Principal Chief Engineer, South East Central Railway, Bilaspur.
Shri P.K. Saxena, has extensively travelled to Paris and Australia / Sweden for undergoing training in Track Machines.
