As a mass transport organization, Northern Railway has been highly sensitive to the needs of the women workforce, which commutes daily to the NCR for their work. For this purpose special coaches have been traditionally earmarked for women in several trains in the past. To cater to the ever growing population of women travelers and in keeping with their safety concerns, the Railway has been running exclusive ‘Ladies Special Trains’ in urban and suburban areas of Delhi for several years now. Presently there are 3 pairs of Ladies Specials plying over Delhi Division:
