SER TO RUN MORE 12-CAR EMU TRAINS & TO INTRODUCE ONE PANSKURA-DIGHA EMU SPECIAL FROM 01.01.2016

With a view to accommodate more suburban and daily commuters and to provide them hassle-free and comfortable journey, South Eastern Railway has strived to introduce more 12-car rake in place of existing 9-car services gradually.
30 EMU rakes ply per day in suburban section out of which 12 rakes are of 12 coaches so far. From 01/01/2016 the number of rakes of 12 car coaches will be increased to 14 from 12. As a result, 12 coach EMU train services in South Eastern Railway will be increased from 77 trains to 89 trains per day  out of 188 daily suburban services.
PANSKURA-DIGHA EMU SPECIAL
 One pair of  EMU special trains will run daily between Pankura –Digha-Panskura with  Train No.08687/08688 in the path and stoppages of 68687/68688 Panskura-Digha EMU Passenger(yet to be introduced) till further advice with effect from 01.01.2016. The special will leave Panskura at 18.00 hrs daily arriving Digha at 20.55 hrs o­n the same day.  Similarly, in the return trip, the special leaving Digha at 06.45 hrs will reach Panskura at 09.20 hrs o­n the same day.
HOWRAH-PANSKURA EMU LOCAL TO RUN DAILY
 38413/38446 Howrah-Panskura EMU service which remains cancelled o­n Sundays and National Holidays will run daily.
