For the convenience of the viewers of ‘Puja Pandals’ in Kolkata and suburban areas , Eastern Railway has arranged to run 10 pairs of Durga Puja Suburban Special trains over different sections in Sealdah division in the nights of Panchami/Sasthi (6/7.10.16), Sasthi/Saptami ( 7/8.10.16), Saptami/Asthami ( 8/9.10.16) , Astami/Navami (9/10.10.16) & Nabami/Dashami ( 10/11.10.16).
Among these 10 pairs of Durga Puja Suburban Special trains, one pair of Special train will run each between Sealdah-Ranaghat, Sealdah-Bangaon, Sealdah-Dankuni, Ranaghat-Bangaon, Sealdah (South)-Budge-Budge , three pairs between Sealdah (South) & Baruipur and two pairs between Sealdah & Naihati stations.
All suburban train services will follow Sunday schedule upto 14:00 hrs. on 8.10.16 (Saptami), 9.10.16 (Astami), 10.10.16 (Navami) , 11.10.16 (Dashami) & on 15.10.2016 (Lakshmi Puja day) and after 14:00 hrs all trains will continue its services having stoppages at all stations enroute including Flag & Halt stations.
However, three Matribhoomi locals in Sealdah South section & 7 local trains including four Matribhoomi locals in Sealdah Main & North section will remain cancelled after 14:00 hrs. Besides, two pairs of local trains between Naihati & Ranaghat will remain cancelled on those days.
one additional Down passenger Special train for Baruipur will leave Sealdah (South) at 17:35 hrs. on those days (8, 9, 10, 11 & 15 October, 2016) and will follow the link of 34332 Dn Baruipur –Lakshmikantapur local for the convenience of the passengers.
