Although the stoppages are on an experimental basis, the move is expected to bring cheer to a large section of people from Hojai and Chaparmukh area who have been demanding such stoppage of the premium trains from a long time. The patronage from stations will be observed and the stoppages will be made permanent in due course of time. The move is yet another initiative for deeper and more meaningful connectivity of the region taken up by northeast Frontier Railway under the direction of Hon’ble Minister of State for Railways. Shri Rajen Gohain, who had promised for such steps in various public fora after assuming charge.
