EXTENSION OF TRICHY – TIRUNELVELI INTERECITY EXPRESS TO THIRUVANANTHAPURAM FROM JULY 2017

STOPPAGE OF TRICHY – TIRUNELVELI INTERECITY EXPRESS
AT MANAPARAI
Shri Suresh Prabhakar Prabhu, Hon’ble Union Minister of Railways at Tiruchchirappalli today at a Railway Function announced the extension of Train No.22627 Tiruchchirappalli – Tirunelveli Intercity Express to Thiruvananthapuram. During the function, following a request from Shri Trichy Siva, Hon’ble Member of Parliament for stoppage of the train at Manaparai, the Hon’ble Minister promised that the stoppage will be considered. Consequent to the Hon’ble Minister’s directions, Railway Board has approved the stoppage of Train No.22627/22628 Tiruchchirappalli – Tirunelveli Intercity Express at Manaparai on an experimental basis for a period of six months with effect from 25th March 2017 to 20th September 2017.
Train No.22627/22628 Tiruchchirappalli –Tirunelveli – Tiruchchirappalli Intercity Expresses will stop at Manaparai to the following timings from 25th March 2017 to 14th July 2017 :-
• Train No.22627 Tiruchchirappalli –Tirunelveli Intercity Express will stop and depart Manaparai Railway Station at 07.43 hrs
• Train No.22628 Tirunelveli - Tiruchchirappalli Intercity Express will stop and depart Manaparai Railway Station at 18.56 hrs
Revised Composition of the train from 15th July 2017 will be :-
AC Chair Car – 1, Second Class Chair Car – 7, General Second Class – 8, and Luggage- cum Brake Van -2
