The practice of pasting of Reservation Charts on train coaches will be discontinued with effect from 16th October, 2017 at Howrah Station. Passengers are requested to get the status of their tickets in the following manners:-
Tickets with confirmed status at the time of booking have information printed on the ticket itself.
Waitlisted and RAC passengers get their status updated on their registered mobile number through SMS at the time of charting which is 4 hours before the schedule departure of the train.
Further, Digital Charting system has been installed at major stations and at other stations, Manual Boards are installed for displaying the status of the waitlisted tickets to guide the passengers.
Apart from the above, IVRS service through No. 139, online booking website are available for passengers for checking status of their tickets on real time basis.
