Delhi Metro services on Line 4 between Kaushambi and Vaishali stations were affected on Tuesday for around an hour in the morning due to overhead electrification maintenance work. The unannounced disruption in services left commuters stranded.
Passenger services were unavailable from 11-15 a.m. to 12-15 p.m. “We were turned away from the station by security guards citing some maintenance work at the station. Many people's schedule was disrupted. The metro should inform people in advance about such activities,” said Ghaziabad resident Kapil Nag.
“Owing to the inconvenience caused to metro commuters because of non-availability of train services between Kaushambi and Vaishali metro stations, Delhi Metro feeder bus service was provided to commuters free of cost between Anand Vihar and Vaishali metro stations,” said a DMRC spokesperson.
