Engine of Ratnachal Express detaches from bogies

The engine of the Vijayawada- bound Ratnachal Express got detached from the bogies between Tadi and Anakapalli under Visakhapatnam-Vijayawada section of the South Central Railway today but there was no damage done. According to railway sources, the train no 12717 Ratnachal Express left Visakhapatnam at 1230 hours for Vijayawada and when it reached Thadi, the engine somehow got detached from the bogies and went ahead for nearly 150 meters. The driver of the train, however, noticed the fault and brought back the engine and after rectification of the fault, the train left for Anakapalli after a delay of 20 minutes, railway sources said.
