The Railway Ministry has announced a daily passenger train service from Mannargudi to Tiruchy from New Year, DMK Parliamentary leader TR Baalu said here on Thursday. According to a statement, Baalu said that the Railway Minister Dinesh Trivedi spoke to him over telephone to inform that his demand for the passenger train between these two points was accepted by the Ministry.
The train will leave Mannargudi at 6 am and will reach Tiruchy at 9.40 am with a halt at Tanjavur at 7.45 am and in return the same train will leave Tiruchy at 5.15 pm and will reach Mannargudi at 9 pm with a halt at Tanjavur at 6.45 pm.
