NEW RLY. TICKET COUNTER OPENED NEAR RAILWAY MUSEUM

A new railway ticket booking counter (to issue unreserved tickets) was opened this morning on the west side of the City Railway Station, beside the Railway Museum on the KRS road here.
Dr. Anup Dayanand Sadhu, Senior Divisional Commercial Manager (SWR), who inaugurated the new counter, said that it was meant for the convenience of train travelers coming from residential areas like Gokulam, V.V. Mohalla, Metagalli, Brindavan Extension, Hebbal and other layouts who can enter the City Railway Station through the new entrance opposite to the CFTRI gate and obtain tickets from the new counter, without having to go further to the ticket counters at the main entrance.
This new counter would also prevent people from walking across the railway tracks to reach the counters at the main entrance, said Dr. Sadhu.
This facility will be open from 5.30 am to 9.30 pm on all days of the week. Advanced unreserved tickets will also be issued for destinations beyond 200 kms from Mysore.
Dr. Sadhu urged the people to make use of this facility and avoid crossing the railway lines which could not only endanger the lives but would also amount to a punishable offence under Railway Rules.
Divisional Commercial Managers Sudhakar Naik and M. Srikanta were present.
