For the convenience of rail passengers, Northern Railway has decided to convert train no. 12241/12242 Chandigarh- Amritsar- Chandigarh Duronto express train into Superfast express train from 11.09.2012 with additional stoppages atJalandhar City and Ludhiana as per the following programme:
The 12242 Amritsar- Chandigarh Superfast Express train will arrive at Jalandhar City and Ludhiana at 06.12 a.m. and 07.15 a.m. respectively with three and five minutes stoppages respectively; while in return direction, the 12241 Chandigarh- Amritsar Superfast Express train will arrive at Ludhiana and Jalandhar City at 09.05 p.m. and 09.57 p.m. respectively with five and three minutes stoppages respectively.
