- Route Length – 9.37 kms
- Completely underground corridor
- No. of stations – 7
- Name of stations: Janpath, Mandi House, ITO, Delhi Gate, Jama Masjid, Lal Quila and Kashmere Gate.
- Interchange Stations: Mandi House and Kashmere Gate.
- This corridor will be on Standard Gauge and will be an extension of the existing Line-6 (Central Secretariat to Badarpur).
- All stations will be constructed using cut and cover technique.
- Tunnels will be constructed using the Tunnel Boring Machine (TBM)
- UNIQUE FEATURES
- This corridor will be connecting the old Delhi area like Daryaganj, Delhi Gate and Red Fort with the business hub of Delhi at Janpath.
- This corridor will also link Kashmere Gate with Badarpur and further till Faridabad (YMCA Chowk).
- This corridor will be passing under extremely busy and congested intersections like Janpath, ITO and Kashmere Gate.
- This corridor will connect major monuments of Old Delhi like Jama Masjid, Delhi Gate and Red Fort.
- The Central Secretariat – Kashmere Gate corridor will help in easing the traffic to reduce foot fall at Rajiv Chowk & Kashmere Gate.

- 3. Name of Work: (CC-07) Design and Construction of Tunnel by Shield TBM and Lal Quila & Kashmere Gate stations by Cut and Cover method between Jama Masjid & Kashmere Gate for underground works under Delhi MRTS project of Phase III. Agency: M/S METROSTROY ERA JV Date of Start: 01/01/2012
- Central Secretariat – Mandi House Section Tunneling from Central Secretariat to Janpath is in progress. 300 m of downline and 70 m of up line has already been completed. Traffic diversion have been implemented at Bhagwan Das Road. Widening of the Road at rotary, so that tunnel shaft can be completed in rotary area. Barricading has been done at Mandi House and work on D-Wall is in progress. Interconnection activities between existing station and new station in progress at Mandi House. AD/CPRO/DMRC
