Porbandar Express running time cut by 100 minutes

The Railways decision to reduce the running time of the mail and express trains passing through the State has benefitted 19261 Kochuveli-Porbandar Express the most with the train being speeded up by 100 minutes.As many as 28 express trains running through Kerala figure in the list of the 40 express trains that are to be speeded up by 15 to 100 minutes as per the new railway timetable.In addition, the Railways have also speeded up another 14 express trains by 10 minutes.With this, train commuters can look forward for speedier travel within the State and to other cities up to the permissible speed of 110 km/hr.The speeding of the trains will automatically increase line capacity, enabling the Railways to operate more trains through the railway network of the State.
