Mysore south western zone on Saturday added three new train services including one express train from Mysore railway station.
Starting July 7, the division will operate two passengers trains - Mysore-Chamarajanagar-Mysore (Tr No. 56207/8) daily passenger and Mysore-Shravanagelagola-Mysore (56215/6) daily passenger and Mysore-Sainagar Shirdi-Mysore (16217/8) weekly express from July 9.
Mysore-Sainagar Shirdi-Mysore weekly express will depart city on Mondays at 5.30 am and reach Shirdi next day (Tuesdays) at 11.30 hr after stopping at Mandya, Bangalore city, Bangalore Cantonment, Yelhanka, HIndupur, Dharmavaram, Anantapura, Guntakal, Bellary, Hospet, Koppal, Gadag, Bagalkot, Bijapur, Solapur, Kurudwadi, Ahmednagar, Belapur and Puntamba. In return direction the express train will leave Shirdi on Tuesdays at 23.55 hours and reach Mysore on Thursdays at 6.55 hrs.
The weekly express will have a total 21 coaches consisting of 2 AC 2-tier coaches, 2 AC 3-tier coaches, 12 second class sleepers, and three general second class coaches.
Mysore-Chamarajanagar-Mysore passenger train will leave Mysore city at 14.45 hr daily and reach Chamarajanagar 16.40 hr after halting at Chamarajapuram, Ashokapuram, Kadakola, Tandavapura, Sujatapuram, Nanjangud town, Chinnadagudi Hundi, Narasanabudhi, Kavalande, Konnanur and Badanaguppe and in reverse direction the train will leave Chamarajanagar the same day at 16.55 hr and reach Mysore via same destinations at 18.30 hrs. The passenger train will have 13 coaches consisting 11 general second class coaches and two second luggage cum brake vans.
Mysore-Shravanabelagola-Mysore passenger train will depart Mysore at 11.35 hr daily and reach Shravanabelagola at 15.20 hr same day after stopping at Krishnarajanagar, Hampapura, Hosa Agrahara, Holenarasipura, Hassan, Shantigram, D Sammudharavalli and Channarayapatna. In reverse direction the passenger train will leave Shravanabelagola at 15.50 hr and reach Mysore city at 20.05 hr. The train will have 12 coaches consisting 10 general second class coaches and two second luggage cum brake vans.
