CARRYING OF INFLAMMABLE ARTICLES IN TRAINS IS AN OFFENCE

 Passengers are advised not to carry inflammable material o­n trains as it will endanger the safety of passengers and railway assets. Any carriage of dangerous or offensive goods is prohibited under section 67 of the Railway Act and is punishable under sections 164 and 165 of The Railway Act, 1989.  Passengers who notice anybody carrying such material o­n trains or railway premises are requested to inform the guard of the train or contact mobile No.09840668675 (Southern Railway Zone) to report the matter. In case of genuine emergency, passengers may pull the alarm chain and wait for stoppage of train.  Passengers are advised not to alight from a train while it is in motion or jump from a running train.
