ECoR CLEARED MORE WAITLISTED PASSENGERS IN FIRST QUARTER


55 SPECIAL TRAINS PROVIDED AND 1011 ADDITIONAL BERTHS AUGMENTED IN DIFFERENT REGULAR TRAINS TO AVOID RUSH.

East Coast Railway has provided One Lakh 33 Thousand 773 additional berths to clear the wait listed passengers during the first quarter of the current financial year i.e. from April 2012 to June 2012.
During this period, this Railway has created additional berths by augmenting 1011 additional coaches in different regular trains originating from its jurisdiction to different destinations of the country which provided 81, 485 additional berths.
Similarly, this railway has run 55 Special trains towards different destinations from its jurisdiction which have provided 52,288 additional berths to the commuters travelling to their destinations.
In view to provide passengers comfort to the commuters and also to clear the huge wait list passengers during summer, East Coast Railway had taken steps to augment additional coaches in different regular mail/express trains and also ran additional trains to avoid rush in regular trains originating from its jurisdiction.
